"I remember him playing the drums,
the Black History play,
that smile, his kindness,
and going out of his way
to speak to you."

Dyann

"Such a beautiful sweet soul.
I thank God for letting you
cross my path.
Glad you let me cater
your graduation party!"

Sis. Genevieve

"My favorite memory of you
is when we did the Black Panthers

together for the church Black History play
and the times we got to
hang out together."

Donnell

"Will was a well-mannered young man.

Will would light up a room

just by walking in.

You couldn’t help but to love him."

Gwen

"When Will came to Thibodaux
to my daddy’s 80th birthday party
and we danced, he and I,
we had so much fun.
Will really enjoyed himself."

Mary

"Will wanted everyone to have a good time at my 16th

birthday party. He got everyone on the dance floor.
No one was dancing, and Will just got on the floor
and everyone followed. That was who he was –
someone who wanted everyone to feel good."

Robyn

"You being proud of everyone’s

accomplishments and rooting me on

as if they were your own!

You tapping your foot at the band

whenever we would go out and you

waiting for the mic to sing or

wrap a tune. We love you.
“Boss Cousin!” in your voice."

Nikki and Jaden

"Will and I knew each other from Franklin, but created a

friendship years later through mutual friends.
I remember driving 6+ hrs. overnight back to college
and he stayed on the phone to make sure I made it safely.
He kept me awake with insightful conversations, music/singing,

and funny stories – in his true nature."

Bria C.

"Will was the first person to try and

make me feel welcome when

I got to New Orleans.
One of my favorite memories is how

fearless “Dougie“ was on the football

field when we were freshmen.

Will was tough.

Will taught me how to be vulnerable

and strong at the same time. I love you,

brother. Until next time. Peace."

Jesse

"I remember having great times at school dances.

Will was an excellent dancer and always full of energy.

Freshman homecoming was very fun

because of him and I had a great time!"
