God’s Will Foundation Sponsors a Mental Health First Aid Training at Xavier University of Louisiana
On Thursday, July 30, 2026, our foundation sponsored a full day Mental Health First Aid Training for 32 Resident Assistants at Xavier University of LA as they prepared for the new Fall 2026 school term.
Our foundation provided breakfast, lunch, and the speakers from the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI-Southeast LA) and the Early Psychosis Intervention Clinic of Tulane University (EPIC-NOLA) who provided evidence-based mental health training. After completing the training, students received mental health first aid certification.
The training was a huge success. In addition, several students shared their appreciation for the training and for being able to attach a real family and real lives to the effects of mental illness.
